Thanks for the Memories!! Let's do it again!
This whole elementary blog idea started in 2000 when a few RHS classmates' emails spread like wildfire. This blog consists mostly of conversations regarding our 40th reunion and, of course, memories from our elementary days. As we approach our 45th reunion, please share your comments, memories and wishes on our
RHS Class of '70 Facebook page. Let's start with...
Are you interested in reuniting with your elementary classmates again in 2015?
So... how do I blog????
Please add a comment to any of these conversations! Look over our selection of blogs in the right menu, including those within past months. When you are feeling inspired, simply type a mesage in the "Post a Comment" text box. Underneath the comment box, open the "comment as" menu and select "name/url" (unless you have a listed profile). Type your name; you may leave the url blank. You may choose to be anonymous or include your name within the text as well. Select "Preview" if you would like to see what your comment will look like before it is published. You may choose to delete a message after it is published but it will leave a message stating "comment removed by blogger". Come on...You know you want to join us!
I explored the neighborhood with Nancy McLean (Upper Blvd., moved to California Street). Peggy Figlar and I played Barbies and Blind Man's Bluff on the low roof behind the school. Peggy Supplee was in brownies and Girl Scouts with me. Ann Larson was Girl Scout and confirmation class with me. When they moved in mid-Willard years, my BEST buddies became the Thompson triplets. I miss hearing from them! Several others I was granted association, I think because I lived next to Carol Scholl;-]
ReplyDeleteOMG Somehow today I found a reference to Roberta Walker ...and then found this! I am a landscape architect living inVancouver, and just met the Consul whose roommate was from Ho Ho Kus.
DeleteSo, remember the flashlight code across the street?
And there's a good "psychic" story when I met Ed K at Cornell...
uh-oh, Judy, I find a discrepency in your statement. We played Barbies in SIXTH grade. I'm not ashamed of it anymore. I would play with them now if I had the chance. My good friends included Cheryl Jones, Barbara Canfield, Didi Herring, Doug Kirkwood, Gail Brightman, Judy Schoneman, Roberta Walker, Moira Hearne, Pam Simonson, Judy Hall, and probably a few others that I'm forgetting right now. Strangely enough, after all this started, I have now become close to Irene Nagy, Bob Elgin, Pam Simonson, and Judy Schoneman. This is a lot of fun. Unfortunately once I get a job I won't be able to joke around on this blog as much as I do now.
ReplyDeleteOh No!!! I knew it! I forgot Susan Main! How could I forget HER??
ReplyDeleteI am so relieved that others have fessed up to Barbies in SIXTH grade (yep, your right, Peggy!).
ReplyDeleteIn our emails, I have admitted I had a crush on David Smith. I wish to publically apologize for any embarrasment I may have caused him by spreading my own rumor that the feeling was mutual. (especially now that he has been located and may be reading this!)
Who did YOU have a crush on?
Now wait a minute! As I recall you and David were an 'item' for awhile there. So he must have had some feelings for you. Now he may never confirm or deny this, but you and I will always know ...
ReplyDeleteBTW, when I was in 6th grade I had a crush on YOU. But you never noticed. Go figure. Oh, and Happy Valentines Day! (+1)
